About Me

Manager of a (formerly) modest building and development company located in southern NJ. Having many possibly interesting, somewhat irreverent thoughts about the economy, real estate, construction, people in general and other assorted nonsense, I have been trying to blog more often. I am interested in any comments, questions or thoughts on these subjects or others that you might have.

Free Solar at the Vineyards in Galloway

THE VINEYARDS GOES GREEN - NEW JERSEY'S FIRST COMPLETELY SOLAR NEIGHBORHOOD!

GALLOWAY, New Jersey (August 20, 2010) General Development Corporation, a developer of single family homes in southern New Jersey, has announced plans to build a subdivision of new homes equipped with solar power at The Vineyards.

The solar systems will be included with the home at no extra cost, freeing the homeowner from the very large upfront costs of obtaining a system, while still being able to enjoy discount utility costs, which will be capped for the first five years. General Development will provide the installation as part of each new home package, leaving the homeowner with no initial costs whatsoever. The solar systems are expected to provide up to 60% of the homes energy needs.

Vincent Simonelli, manager of General Development said, "This is an opportunity for current or prospective new home buyers to “Go Green” without the large initial investment typically associated with installing solar power. Homeowners at The Vineyards will immediately feel the benefits of lower utility bills, without having to finance the purchase and installation of the solar system, which typically total $35,000 - $40,000 for a 7KW system. Mortgage rates are at a historic low, and together with lower energy cost from a solar system at The Vineyards, buyers can get more for less with a newly constructed home that is both environmentally friendly and affordable”.

For The Vineyards development, General Development will be working with Trinity Solar Corporation, which is the largest green company in the state of New Jersey, and is the largest solar installer in the Tri-State area and Delaware.

General Development Corporation is a real estate investment company specializing in the development and construction of townhouses, single family homes and various residential properties located throughout New Jersey.

There are a limited number of home sites available at The Vineyards, with the first four homes available in August 2010. Prospective buyers are encouraged to call a free information hotline at 800 237 9569 ext 334 or to contact Mark Reilly directly at 609-646-7791. Entertaining

Just a few weeks ago it seemed like winter would never end.  Today it looks and feels like we’re springing right into summer.  Here at Visions we didn’t let the threat of a few flakes – or feet of snow – keep us from enjoying the Clubhouse this past winter.

I find nothing beats the winter blues better than gathering Foxmoor friends and family to watch the Super Bowl in the Lounge, mingle at Happy Hour at the Bar, or play a few hands of Poker in the Billiards Room.  I’ve gotten a lot of enjoyment out the “Cooking with Vince” demonstrations.  I’m always in a great mood after seeing how much everyone enjoys the food, fellowship and fun.  I enjoy hosting….and I enjoy being a guest too ;)

Oh sure, you’re thinking: I’d entertain more too if I had access to a clubhouse!  And I agree – entertaining here is easy.  So I’m pleased to let you know the Clubhouse is available for rental for private parties and business functions.  We provide the location – you bring your decorations, food and guests!

Visions at the Shore is a no-maintenance community for active adults.  The lawn and gardens are always guest-ready!  The Clubhouse is easy to find, handicap accessible, and has plenty of parking for visitors.

The Banquet Room will seat up to sixty for brunch or dinner.  Your pool party will never be rained out here, and on nice days the French doors open to let the sunshine and breeze in.  Your organization's meeting will run efficiently in our comfortable Library or state of the art Conference Room.   We have a fully equipped kitchen available if you enjoying preparing your own food or need to stage catering trays.

Ask for Vince or Mark at 609-646-7791 or send an email and let us help you pick the perfect spot to host your First Communion, Baby Shower, or Graduation party.   Imagine keeping the surprise in that milestone birthday, or impressing a VIP client.

Imagine living here!

Food, Poker, Tax Credits…Oh My!

Hello-
Just wanted to update everyone on Vision’s latest events. The cooking demo went great here on Tuesday. I’ve learned that flank steak isn’t the most tender cut of meat, even so it turned out great. Everyone was pleased with their meal, which is all that matters to me. If you missed out on the cooking demonstration, don’t worry! I will be cooking again on March 23.

As far as this weekend goes, who’s excited about our poker tournament this Saturday at 7:00pm? I know I am. First place could bring home as much as $1,700! Not bad for a days work. If you haven’t reserved your spot yet, do so now! We’ll have complimentary food and drinks available for our poker players; just don’t forget to bring your poker face.

In housing news, the $8,000 tax credit for first time home buyers is still underway! Get it while it’s hot! This is such a great deal; I wish they had come up with something like this when I was buying my home. And if you’re thinking “I’m not a first time home buyer”, than listen to this…you can receive $6,500 for your next home even if you’ve been a previous buyer before.

Great things going on in the Vision’s World. Come be a part of it!

Regards,

Vincent Simonelli
